16 Jun 2009Please take 4 minutes to watch the video above. yes, its from World of Warcraft… but just watch!
This post has been circling around in my mind for a few weeks now and I am GEEKED OUT OF MY MIND to finally present it!!!
Here’s why… Few things get me PUMPED like Revelation 19:11-16 & Deuteronomy 32:41-43: & Ephesians 6:10-20. The description of Jesus as a white knight with a robe dipped in blood AND God smiting his enemies to the point of having their names erased from memory AND all the talk of suiting up your armor makes me want to kick a chair while shouting THIS IS SPARTA! I am PASSIONATE about taking ordinary men and crafting them into MEN OF GOD. I’ve said before that God created man because God wants men! Men who will rise as knights… men who will never back down… men who will love their rescued beauty with passion… men who will fight with honor… men who will take up their swords at the sound of war…
men.
REAL MEN! or as I like to call them “WEAPONS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS”
We have this picture of a mambi-pambi-ghandi, mr. roger’s-with-a-beard, mother-Theresa-type Jesus. (no wonder so many men hate church!) But Jesus is much more than that. Jesus is a MAN’S MAN!
We serve the God who created lions and cobras and mountains and cliffs and fire and super novas and lightning and red woods and grand canyons and tidal waves. We devote our lives to the King who thought up adventure, love and damsels in distress.
Contrary to popular belief, we are caught in the crossfire of a holy war. And as soon as we become followers of Jesus, we are dropped behind enemy lines! The question is, Who will stand?!?!
Now I’m not big on Facebook quizzes, but this one got my attention: “Which epic warrior do you unleash?“ Here’s my results:

Gladiator. Born Leader. Never out. Tactical. Master mind for war. yup… that’s me!
But the one line that stands out most is this: “What we do in life echoes in eternity.” That is the kind of impact I want to make! I want my life to have eternal results! I want to know that I did not fight in vain.
To the gentlemen reading this,
Rise a knight!
