Dirty Toilets

I’m one of those people that appreciates a clean public restroom.  Who isn’t?  I’d stop at one of those places with a ‘clean restroom’ sign before one without.  Take a moment and think of the last nasty bathroom you were in.  Picture the filth, and the lovely literature on the wall, and the fragrance of stale urine, and the sink that leaves your hands dirtier… YUCK!  Someone pass the hand sanitizer!

The way a business keeps their bathrooms says a lot about the company.  The bathroom is behind closed doors where not everyone will see.  The problem is, it makes a good case for the character of the employees.  Maybe they don’t have enough time, respect for their company, respect for their customers, are just lazy, or just don’t care.

I had a great friend in college who would ask me if my room was clean?  I lol’ed.  He went on to say that the way I kept my bedroom says a lot about my current lifestyle.  I evaluated my life and realized my room was D-I-R-T-Y because I refused to make a priority of cleaning it, no one really saw it anyway, and I was ok with living in my own mess.

Let me tell you a secret…the way you keep your toilet tattles on you!  What you do behind closed doors, where no one can see, SCREAMS VOLUMES about your lifestyle!

Matthew 5:28-30.  Jesus don’t play no games when it comes to sin.

So tell me…

What’s your worst public restroom experience?
